I’m going to pick out my favourite English Mansion toys and tell you all about them in a series of blogs called ‘These are a Few of My Favourite Things’.

No. 18 – The Gigolo

The Gigolo, similar to the F-Machine Pro (it’s made by the same team) is a first-rate, quality made, fucking machine which can be used on both men and women. You can use it for a gentle stroking or a full-on relentless pounding. It’s almost silent and very straightforward to use.

The Gigolo however, has three very different features. It is fixed to only one stand making it more portable to manoeuvre into position. The head unit is smaller, lighter and completely enclosed with no accessible moving parts. And lastly, it has a remote control, rather than the cable connected box of the F-machine.

The versatile mono leg system allows you to quickly and easily manoeuvre the machine and ‘cock thrust rod’ into multiple heights and angles including almost vertical positioning. It’s simple to change the stroke thrust depth (from 1-4 inches) with the turn of a nut. The Gigolo is remote controlled, there’s an on/off toggle switch, plus 3 buttons: Play/Pause; Plus to increase speed; Minus to decrease speed. Giving you total freedom for solo play or for handing the power over to your Top.

Safety
My advice with all fucking machines, is to always start the fucking with the dildo at its deepest point that way the ‘cock thruster rod’ can only move backwards. A feature of both the Gigolo and F-machine Pro-4 is the electrical safety auto cut-out if they encounter heavy resistance. Making them very safe to use. This does make these machines not suitable for heavy giant anal toys which need more push! Rare & Vintage Fetish Club Fliers Pt2

Back in the day I was a huge fetish clubber. I went to clubs Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and weekdays! I’d go from one club to another on the same night, then to the after-party and then onto a private party afterwards. People would continually be coming up to me saying things like, “Hey, we met at a party last week, you fucked me with a strapon then pissed on me in the bath.”
I would have no recollection of any of it, too much had ensued since whenever that happened. I didn’t drink, or use anything stronger ever, I just loved fetish play, the adventure of being out in the night, being outrageous and thoroughly enjoying myself. In the ’90s I was heavily involved in the running of Club Whiplash (infamously raided by the police alongside the wonderful Robin, who should be recognised as one of the godfathers of the modern Fetish scene). And I performed regularly at many fetish events. Finding the scene back then was like coming home.

Practical As Well As Beautiful
So in a world before the domination of the internet to find out about these underground fetish clubs and events you had to go into super sleazy soho sex shops to pick up a flier. Alternatively, there were a handful of fetish shops: SkinTwo in Ladbroke Grove, Little Shoebox & Zeitgeist near Highbury Corner were the London ones. Or you could get your name on their mailing list. Many of these events were technically ‘Members Clubs’ so you had to sign up and have a membership card to attend. You’d then receive a flyer with the details of the next event and usually a newsletter in the post via snail mail – promoters had to lick a lot of envelopes!

Arresting, Incredible, Ephemeral Art
Many of the fliers are beautiful, ephemeral pieces of art, capturing a moment in time. Torture Garden probably would win the prize for its later avant-garde fliers some of which are incredible but Wasteland also deserves a mention as does Club Rub. Kim from Club Rub designed her flyers to be used as actual, tangible postcards. They had perforations so you could tear off the bottom bit with the club details. The top parts could then be used in the post or you could collect them to pin up on your wall. She showcased the work of many alternative artists over the years who produced a multitude of wonderful & singular illustrations, photographs and artworks.

Rare & Vintage Feitsh Club Fliers Pt1

A Perverted Revolution
Fetish club fliers document an underground subversive movement that started at the end of the ’80s and continued into the noughties. The fetish club scene brought together a new generation of young people who wanted to challenge the status quo, to change attitudes to sex & sexuality, to gender and to our relationship with our own bodies. It was a perverted revolution exploring: sex, fetishism, BDSM; cross-dressing, gender bending/transgender notions; lesbian, gay & bi rights; feminism – women no longer in a passive sexual role for male pleasure but enjoying their bodies and sexualities. The fetish scene changed the world! Sexual politics and freedoms, fashion, body art, feminism, sex and sex work – all have been transformed over the last 30 years and for the better!

Given I had quite a stock of old fliers I thought it important to archive them here for posterity. I particularly chose very early fliers, or rarities; truly artistic masterpieces or subversive little gems. Alongside trying to get in at least one flier from every past fetish club of that era so that they are not lost forever.
