I’m going to pick out my 10 favourite English Mansion toys and tell you all about them in a series of blogs called ‘These are a Few of My Favourite Things’. So in no particular order: No. 7 – The Puppy Dog Tail
The puppy dog tail – well they say necessity is the mother of all invention – and what’s more important than a wagging dog tail for the human slave puppy! Made of black rubber it’s also a butt plug which ensures it is positioned in exactly the right spot.
It’s a mastery of engineering and who knows what mathematics it took to create this perfect wagging motion – because what’s special about this butt plug is that the motion of the wearer causes it to wag.

Mistress Sidonia was recently presented with a beautiful, ornate Birdcage as a gift. It’s actually much more than a unique bdsm cage, it’s an objet d’art, a stunning sculpture with beautiful detailing on the metal work, which was all produced by hand. Each piece of metal bar was individually hammered to create the texture, the cage was then painted, first of all in black, then highlighted using bronze.
It’s ideal for elaborate outside bondage/suspension play. It also has a (removable) little swing inside making it perfect for leaving pretty little Sissies elegantly tied up. We now have some where to put the ‘maid’ when she’s not wanted during our next garden party plus she’ll make a nice display for all the guests.
It was was designed and created byby Paul Grahame, Master blacksmith at Red Hot Forge a company based in the North of England specialising in bespoke BDSM iron work, they describe it as ‘furniture you become attached to….’

This month at The English Mansion we’re featuring human pets, focusing on puppies and doggies – though there are also kittens, birdies, ponies and piggies. Role playing an animal can have a huge appeal – animals don’t speak or think, or even walk upright. They are owned and trained to be obedient, but also loved and even pampered. You can let go of your humanity and immerse yourself in a new alien mindset. There are obvious parallels to slavery within animal play, most notably the collar & leash and the desire to be owned.
The psychology of human animal role-play generally falls into two categories: those who love immersing themselves into the role of a human animal and who relish being dressed up and trained to become the best they can be (Pampered Pets); and those who are turned into animals by their cruel Mistresses as a means to totally humiliate and literally dehumanise them (Dehumanised Animals). (These examples show two opposing aspects of the psychology however there is much cross-over and most of the actualities of the play is the same.)
Pampered Pets
Firstly, there are those who want to play at or become a human animal, most usually a dog or puppy. What appeals to them and their ‘owners’ is the innate characteristics of the animals’ nature that come into play, these being: obedience; loyalty; devotion; total reliance on their owners, instinctively wanting to please; and the need to be trained.
Pampered Pups tend to be younger and enjoy being playful and petted. Well behaved human pups can also be quite pampered by adoring dom owners and shown off in public. I was once quite jealous when I saw an amazing well trained human Dalmatian puppy walking around Erotica one year.
Dehumanised Animals
This is where a useless, old or disobedient slave is turned by his Mistress into a dog or pig to totally break and humiliate him. It’s the end of the line, he is no longer even a lowly slave, from now on he’s not even human any more. He will no longer be able to talk or walk upright. If necessary he can be kept gagged and put in hobble chains (chains that are not long enough for you to stand in). He will eat her scraps from a bowl on the floor (mittens can be used to stop him using his hands). This can be an extreme punishment/humiliation for a slave, he may have already lost much of his sense of self, his name ect. but now he will not even be treated as human anymore.
Dressing The Part
Pampered Pets love to dress the part -you can now buy some amazing kit: doggie hoods; (bondage) paw mittens; (inserted) tails, even wagging tails (see my blog next week about these); muzzle gags – all which act to transform you into a human animal. Helping you let go of yourself and your human traits and allow you to immerse yourself into becoming something totally different.
