Wax Play Pt2 – An Essential Guide to Everything you ever Wanted & Needed to know about Wax Play

night-torment-electrics-bondage-blur Wax Play Pt 2

Fun things to do with Hot Wax

a) Experiment with dripping, pouring or painting wax on with a brush.

b) There can be great artistry and beauty to wax play, this is best achieved using two or more different coloured candles, to make designs and patterns. So turn your play partner into the next Turner Prize.

c) You can make a ‘penis mould’ by totally coating the ‘hard’ area, it makes a lovely keepsake for afterwards.

d) You can make a whole body cast but will need a lot of wax!

e) It’s great to drop wax over an already hot spanked bottom.

f) You can encase a soft penis in wax, creating a wax chastity device and then tease your partner to make him hard and see if he can break through the wax shell.

g) It’s quite erotic to wax your plaything while they are in bondage and watch them squirm. It’s best to use soft old rope for this and then keep this as your ‘wax rope’ afterwards, as once it’s been covered in wax it won’t come out.

h) Mummify them in cling-film, cut out holes in the relevant places and then watch them wiggle while you wax the night away.

Fabulous New Wax Innovations

Today on-line you can buy some amazing and practical new wax play innovations! The best is a set of seven pouring jars with handles and spouts, each with a different colour wax from the rainbow.

You can also buy UV play wax and warm pouring wax that once on the body turns to an oil that can be massaged in. Also available to buy is wax with specific melting points i.e. cooler for beginners and hotter for serious BDSM players.

The Hair Problem

The biggest problem with wax play is the cleaning up afterwards. Especially the process of removing the wax from the body. Humans are mammals, we’re covered in hair, even minute ones – so the wax will stick to the hair and removing it will be extremely painful, it’ll rip them out! It’s a bit like an unintentional salon hair waxing session. So here are some solutions…

Solutions & the Magic Answer

  1. Have the victim shave the important bits in advance.

  2. Avoid the very hair bits (pubes).

  3. Wrap them in cling-film, this does reduce some of the intensity but still works.

  4. Get them to use a rich moisturiser this helps but is not perfect.

  5. The best and sure way to resolve this problem is to rub down the areas with baby oil first, it’s magic the wax won’t stick! However, and this is important – the wax will heat the baby oil and make the sensation of the falling wax much hotter! So factor this in.

Wax_Play-02
The Mess Problem

So the cleaning up afterwards… it’s not just hair that it’s difficult to clean wax from.  You’ll think you can use it carefully and only direct it onto the person but beware it’s not that easy to control. It easily splashes especially when dropping it from a height and can get on hair, floors, furniture, carpets, sheets and is extremely difficult to remove! So don’t use it with your best sheets. If you try to wash or scrub it off in a bath or shower it will block drains. So it must be scraped off first (plastic store cards & kitchen spatulas are good for this) then binned or vacuumed up.

Essential for wax play is the 3Ps – Prior, Preparation & Planning, so first lay out a cheap vinyl shower curtain, a disposable table-cloth or even newspaper for your sub to lie on. Once you’ve finished scrape off all the wax and then just fold it all up and bin it. Another option is to wrap your sub in cling-film, leaving holes for where you want to wax; alternatively just play outside.

Another idea is to make the removal part of the scene; I’ve uses abrasive sponges and shoe-brushes on the skin afterwards. Long nails can also be effective in scratching it off. Or if mess is not a problem you can just flog it off 🙂

Warnings

  1. Hair, beards and body hair can easily be singed or catch fire near naked flames, often due to minute fumes given off from perfume, hairspray or deodorant on the body.

  2. Wax’s boiling point is extremely high over 300° F ! If left on a heat source its temperature will continue to rise – so never heat wax in a pan or microwave – as this can seriously burn the skin. If you are a serious player who wants to play with large amounts of pouring wax for safety I would suggest using a jam/sugar cooking thermometer, keeping the wax at a temp of between 46 – 50°C (115 – 122°F ) never going higher than 54 °C (130 °F).

  3. Keep a fire extinguisher close by or a bucket of water as a tipped over candle could start a fire really fast. Candles are the leading sources of residential fires, so never ever leave a naked flame unattended. Remember the heat above a lighted candle is extremely hot and it’s especially dangerous to use them near canopy beds or drapes.

  4. Always use candles with candlesticks/holders that way you have some where to put them while they are lighted or even better candles in jars. Make sure the holder is always placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

Now off you go and have lots of waxing fun!  © MSVB

The Man Who Made The World Cum

Dave Lampert 1930-2021

Sadly last month, Dave Lampert of Las Vegas NV, founder and creator of the Sybian for Women & Venus for Men finally left the bedroom at the age of 90.

This man played a huge part in transforming sexual pleasure into so much more than an act of intercourse between two individuals. He brought technical innovation to sex, personal self-pleasure, fun and most importantly, actual orgasms and lots of them. This man has probably made hundreds of thousands of women and men around the world cum! He literally brought joy to the world 🙂

In 1979, Mr Lampert a professional dance instructor had the idea for a ride-on sex machine. After a few stops and starts the Sybian went into production in 1987.  Dave noted that, “Although sex is part of everyone’s every day life, it is a subject avoided by many.”
He wanted to open up sexual pleasure to women – for them to be in control of their own sexuality, sexual health and orgasms. For more of the inventors thoughts see here.

The Sybian for Women

The Sybian is a sexual stimulation device specifically for women. It’s a bit like a gym horse with various dildo attachments for external and/or internal stimulation. Once mounted its vibrations are intended to simultaneously stimulate the user’s clitoris, vagina, perineum and anus. Hopefully producing a multi-orgasmic experience! Sybian website

Dave derived the name from Sybaris, an ancient Greek city that was known as the epicentre of excessive luxury and he would refer to Sybian owners as ‘Sybarites’. The Sybian was a huge success and its production and worldwide sales became a booming family-run business.

The Venus for Men

So in 1998 he revolutionized the growing male sex machine market by adding the Venus for Men to his product line.  One of the best machines of its kind on the market and a staple of professional dominatrices everywhere; the Venus is a high-tech, hands-free stroking masturbation machine. It’s portable, quiet and allows the user to adjust the stroke length and stroke speed from 8 to 300 strokes per minute. Venus website

Dave Lampert and his Sybian appeared numerous times on The Howard Stern Show, they even tried it out on air. And, in 2016, Dave was recognized for his life’s works and contribution to sexual health, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Adult Video Network.

Thank you Mr Lampert for making so many men and women around the world happier and healthier.

OWK – The Other World Kingdom

OWK – The Other World Kingdom

The Other World Kingdom was a femdom micronation set-up in the buildings and grounds of a 16th century château in Černá, Czech Republic. It was an inspired and visionary undertaking to create an entire ‘femdom state’ – with a matriarchal, authoritarian society, based on the principles of female supremacy, BDSM and male sexual slavery. Although not recognized by any other country, it maintained its own currency (the DOM), passports, police force, courts, state flag and state hymn. It was opened to the public in 1997.

OWK-flag-crest-

The OWK Coat of Arms with their motto “Women Over Men” & the state Flag

The site was huge, almost a small village – it had several buildings and extensive outdoor spaces including a 250m oval human pony cart track, lake and landscaped gardens. The main building was the Queen’s Palace, which was the residence of the monarch and contained a banqueting hall, library, throne room, tort*** chamber, schoolroom and an extensive basement prison with cells. There were also many other buildings for visiting Dominas and an indoor riding hall and stables.

okw-throne-room-1The OWK was run by the elusive ‘Queen Patricia the 1st’ as its absolute monarch. Next came the ‘Sublime Ladies’ who formed the Kingdom’s nobility. To become a citizen, a woman must fulfill certain criteria including: owning at least one male slave; agreeing to the principles and laws of the OWK; and visiting the Kingdom for at least five nights. Males were either the Queen’s subjects, submissive men with some rights; or ‘slaves’ men who forfeited all their rights and are now property of the Queen or Sublime Ladies and are considered to be ‘on the level of a normal farm animal’.

owk-human-ponyThe OWK was a sensation when it opened, it was immensely popular with dommes and slaves alike; with many world-famous dommes visiting its facilities and gaining passports. It held regular femdom events and celebrations throughout the year which visitors were invited to. There was an epic buzz about this monumental place. I remember the literature they put out for visitors and I had never seen anything like it – men enslaved in cages, cells, kennels and put to work doing hard labour. While cruel and beautiful leather-clad women wandered around using and abusing the men as they wished. All set within this beautiful castle where every room was spectacular! It was a fantasy come true, a real-life femdom enclave run by dominant women.

OWK-tytaniaIt should be noted behind the façade of the OWK and its ideology was a serious commercial endeavor. It was set up as a resort and BDSM facility for visiting dommes and subs from around the world, who paid to visit. While the venue was used for the femdom films & photoshoots used for the OWK magazines, books and website which was for a time, hugely successful.

Sadly, this unique real-world Femdom retreat closed in 2008 and has now become the stuff of legend. It is not exactly clear why it closed though several dominant women did band together (unsuccessfully) to try to save it. Today there is a website where old images and films can still be watched by members. I’ve been wanting to write about the OWK for a while now – it was a bold, audacious and visionary venture that should be recognised and praised in the annals of femdom.

Update 2021 The OWK is now open for filming and the clips are available on their C4S store, more details here:

Celebrating Those Who Take Their Kink Seriously

Celebrating Those Who Take Their Kink Seriously

Fetishism and BDSM gets a bad rap in the mainstream media, nearly always it’s linked with violence and abuse. However, genuine scene players understand that it is actually a lot of FUN! It’s playtime for consenting adults. A source of relaxation to aid our emotional well-being; and stimulation to fuel imagination, creativity and a lateral mindset.

Alternative kinky people often are highly intelligent, gifted individuals.  They have a huge enthusiasm and myriad of innovative ways of getting their ‘kink on’. It is a way to express the inner self honestly and with vulnerability; and to heighten the intimacy between sexual partners.  For some their kink is akin to a specialist hobby that they are totally dedicated to; for others it can also form a massive extension to their social life, a means to find others who share their passion.

So with absolutely no derision intended, this is dedicated with genuine reverence to those on the scene that take their kinkiness seriously!

Wax Play Pt1 – An Essential Guide to Everything you ever Wanted & Needed to know about Wax Play

Wax Play Pt 1

An Essential Guide to Everything you ever Wanted & Needed to know about Wax Play

Wax play is a great way to inflict slow sensuous pain, each drop imparting a momentary hot searing sensation onto the skin. Erotic hot fingers caressing and penetrating your body in an entirely unique way. Wax is visual, it’s dramatic, it has an intimacy and a punch – enough to get the endorphins flowing. Applied correctly wax should leave no marks nor do any damage to the skin, it most definitely should not cause scalds or burns. Yes, it may slightly redden the skin but this should pass after an hour or so. This is one of wax play’s major advantages – pain without lasting marks.

Types of Candle Wax

It’s essential to choose the correct type of wax for BDSM play, ones with a low melting point.
a) Firstly and most importantly, so it will not burn the skin;
b) But also because to use wax effectively you need it to be fast dripping or pourable.
So you need a soft wax that melts quickly while you are using it.

Candles are made from different types of wax, these melt at different temperatures. Most come from a derivative of petroleum, though there is also beeswax; tallow (animal fat wax); and natural waxes made from soy (beans) or plants. Generally, the higher the quality and cost, the harder the wax, the slower they burn. Like church pillar candles which are designed to burn for many hours as they are made from beeswax which has a very high melting point. So, this is one of the few areas of life where cheaper is better, as cheap candles burn quickly as the wax is softer and the softer the wax the lower the melting point.

Other factors may also increase the temperature of the hot wax – scented candles are made from essential  oils and oil has a high burning temp. Most candle sticks contain hardeners (sterin or steric acid,) which increases the melt temperature to makes them burn longer with less drips. The dyes used for colours can make a candle burn hotter, this is especially true for richly pigmented candles. However, it’s best to use coloured candles, muted ones, as white, the most common candle colour is not ideal for candle wax play as it doesn’t show up well against the skin, thought it can work on darker skins.

Do Not Use

Beeswax candles

Long burning or very hard candles (including church pillar)
Metallic, richly pigmented or oil scented/perfumed candles

All have high melting points or contain hot oils and can seriously burn the skin. It’s best to buy specialist BDSM play candles or pouring wax with low melting points they come in fabulous colours and are easy to use. More about these later.

The Wax Test

A good rule is to always test wax on yourself first, an idea place is the back of your arm. Though, you must still remember that everyone feels wax differently and has a different tolerance to heat, even at the same wax temperatures. Dehydration, alcohol, some medications and skin conditions will play a role in a body’s reaction. Body moisturisers and perfumes on the skin can also make the wax hotter. While some people are allergic to paraffin used in most candles. So check and communicate with your play partners.

Other Factors Influencing Temperature

1.    First drops   Wax dripped onto wax is an entirely different sensation to wax dropped onto skin! So when you start dropping the wax on the skin it will be much hotter than later on.

2.    Distance   I’d suggest dropping the wax from at least 18 inches above the skin, this gives the drips time to cool. At the beginning start the drops high, once you have coverage you will need to lower the wax for the effect to still be felt through the layers.

3.    Amount   The amount of wax being poured will effect its temperature. Wax dripped slowly from above has time to air cool, however, wax poured from a jar from the same height and same temperature will not be able to do this. So more wax = more heat = risk of burning. While the wax is still ‘wet’ on the body it’s still hot so don’t use it too quickly, it’s a slow pleasure savour it! Also be aware it will naturally pool in depressions on the body taking longer to cool and harden so dropping more wax onto these areas will increase the heat.

4.    Skin Sensitivity   Wax on harder skin like the bottom or legs will feel less hot than wax dripped onto more sensitive places like the genitals.

Where To Drop

For BDSM hot wax dripped onto breasts, nipples, genitals, thighs can be very erotic, but wax can be used anywhere on the body. I think, however, it’s best to avoid the face, eyes obviously can’t be waxed and it is a nightmare if you get it in your hair (especially longhair) so take care. If used on the genitals, as the skin there is thinner and more sensitive remember this will make the wax feel hotter. I have known people who like to wax the tongue/mouth, I don’t think this will cause harm but care should be taken so that it does not block the air passage and given most wax is a derivative of petroleum it really isn’t a good idea to eat any of it. This is also an issue if wax is dripped into a vagina or anus, it’s not something I’d recommend but if this is something you are determined to try, make sure you get it all out afterwards.
